ILA 2022
2022, June 22-26
Berlin Expocenter Airport
That was the ILA Berlin 2022
After four years, ILA Berlin finally opened its doors again. The theme of this year’s ILA was sustainable flying. Our AUTOFLUG FLYWEIGHT seating family combines the highest degree of flexibility with precisely this increasingly desired sustainability. Features such as the light weight and durability of our seats directly support this, as both fuel and resources are saved. In addition, AUTOFLUG pays attention to the sustainable selection of materials and the energy-efficient production of the seats. These and other topics were the content of the discussion with the Minister of Economics Robert Habeck, who we had the pleasure to welcome at our booth last Wednesday. He was impressed by the wealth of ideas and the courage of such extensive self-financed projects at AUTOFLUG.
Besides many interesting conversations at our booth, there was also a lot of talk about our modulate pallet solution AUTOFLUG MULTIBASE in our event tent right next to the A400M. But more about that tomorrow.
After the successful market launch of our modular pallet solution AUTOFLUG MULTIBASE, we were more than happy to get the chance to present the system at the ILA in Berlin. Thanks to AUTOFLUG MULTIBASE, where every pallet can be equipped in nearly countless ways, the conversion of a transport aircraft for example an A400M can be realized in less than two hours. The increase in Multi-Role-Capabilities of a single transport aircraft is for sure tremendous.
Due to the long lasting relationship to the German Armed Forces, the ILA offered the opportunity to exchange information with direct users of such system. In our tent right next to the A400M, visitors were able to make a deep dive into the MULTIBASE system and had the possibility to explore the different configuration hands on. In addition, we presented two different solutions of patient isolation within the AUTOFLUG MULTIBASE, a low pressure tent and the AUTOFLUG TOXICSHIELD tent which realized the quarantine environment without pumps or valves. It was great to meet so many visitors from various nations and having the chance to a deep and fruitful interchange of ideas. Thanks to all and see you soon again.
It was a great pleasure for us to welcome Christine Lambrecht, Minister of Defense, at the last trade visitor day of the ILA in the Military Suport Center. Among other topics, the interesting conversation was focused on the already existing cooperation between the German Armed Forces and AUTOFLUG. Next to the maintenance of the ejection seats of the German Air Force, this also includes the brake chutes of the EUROFIGHTER.
In addition, the purchasing of equipment for soldiers was a topic of discussion. Minister Lambrecht confirmed that in future such types of procurement should be simplified and thus implemented more quickly, so that the required material can be acquired and implemented faster.
These three successful trade visitor days were followed by the public days, but more of that tomorrow.
For the first time we used the public days at ILA Berlin for our HR team. In addition to the good discussions on the subject of employee recruiting and training positions in the tent next to the A400M and at the stand in Hall 4, we were particularly pleased to welcome Ingo Gerhartz, Inspector of the German Air Force, to our MULTIBASE presentation where we were able to impress him with our innovative pallet concept for transport aircraft.
ILA Berlin was a fantastic show and we are already looking forward to the next one in 2024.
